Can our dreams restore hope and give us a vision for the future? Are people able to tap into their dreams to receive deeper insight into their waking lives? Dreams are one of the ways that God speaks to us. The key to understanding God’s dream language is that we must use a biblical basis to interpret the symbolism. We must rely on the Holy Spirit as our source of revelation, understanding, wisdom, and proper application. Mysteries are hidden in the realms of the Spirit. Dreamers must allow the Spirit of truth to lead and guide them into this realm of mystical understanding and spiritual enlightenment.

God reveals mysteries through our dreams at night. Dreams call us to intimacy with God. The Bible says the marriage bed is undefiled. You don’t let just anyone into the sacred bedchambers—only your covenant lover. Yet, at night the lover of our soul comes to visit us with keys to unlock divine mysteries that are hidden in his heart. God longs to share his secrets with you, his beloved bride. It is imperative for us to learn God’s love language of dreams. Understanding dreams make it possible for us to embrace God’s plans and purposes for our life. The Holy Spirit reveals God to us in our dreams. Revelation knowledge remain sealed in the heart of God until these hidden secrets come to the forefront through dreams.

Dreams are basically symbolic night parables. Depending on the context in the dream, a tree can represent a righteous or an evil leader. A snake can mean poisonous words, lies, and deception; the medical community uses the symbol of a snake on a pole for healing. But what do we do when we come across a symbol in a dream that is not defined in the Bible? For example, we don’t find automobiles or airplanes mentioned in the Bible. However, chariots and horses are mentioned as modes of transportation. The Holy Spirit will reveal why a particular symbol was chosen and its corresponding meaning if we ask and think metaphorically. I have developed dream symbol cards and training resources to help people understand God’s symbolic dream language. Jesus spoke of the yeast of the Pharisees. Yeast causes things to rise; so the hidden meaning here is that the teaching of the Pharisees causes pride to rise in their political standing and hypocrisy to spread in their religious life. Sin and a little of man’s traditions and false teachings have the power to ruin or corrupt the whole.  Metaphoric thinking to can help us unlock God’s hidden messages in our dreams. A car can represent our life or career. A jet plane can represent a business, corporation, church, or a ministry. Being late can symbolize a warning not to miss something important. Taking an exam can give us a clue that we are being tested.

Some of the common dreams are flying, teeth falling out, falling, and going to the bathroom, to name a few. Dreams highlight where many people are spiritually. For instance, flying indicates a high destiny in God and revelatory giftings; teeth coming loose or falling out may mean there is a need for wisdom or advice because of indecision, one is biting off too much, or continually chewing on ideas. Falling may indicate feeling out of control of a situation; going to the bathroom is the need for spiritual cleansing or flushing (forgiveness).

As we understand the meaning of dreams, we can find our destinies in God. Although not all dreams are from God, people everywhere are having dreams and many of the dreams which people share with me have been divinely inspired.
